The art of teaching individual yoga sessions must be experienced to be fully understood, as there is so much to learn in that 1 to 1 place.

I am passionate about encouraging this style of practice as it takes into account the uniqueness of you the student as an individual and guides and supports you in the ever evolving process of re-connecting with your authentic self. This is the conduit that allows you to become truly present and mindful.

I approach postures with my students in an intelligent, conscious manner, as I am far more aware of the subtleties of what we’re asking our bodies to do – always keeping in mind the healthy anatomical alignment and to not forget the breath is the base foundation from which we build.

The breath is our guru to the asana. 

The breath is what initiates the anatomical structure of the asana.

The will of the mind can cheat the body but the breath cannot cheat the body.

With 1 on 1 individual classes I can structure asanas pertaining to the individual’s own unique anatomy.  Going with the student’s individual anatomy simply makes the joy and freedom that yoga offers more accessible.

My teaching aims to give harmony and balance – unifying both flexibility and strength, giving a stable body which in turn improves breathing, posture and mental capacity enabling one to be truly present.

SIMPLY: Yoga means a coming together, a union of balance and harmony, the yin and the yang, the feminine and the masculine merging.  If you can breath you can do yoga.

Yoga allows one to build a more comfortable seat to sit on within yourself.

REMEMBER:             YOGA IS A WORK IN, NOT A WORK OUT!
